I got the Korean Bologneisei rice and my friend got the hainanese chicken with rice. The korean was good, like bibimbap but a little sweeter.

Hainanese chicken was really good but it's very greasy. My friend regularly gets hainanese chicken when we eat here.

I usually get the baked chicken japanese style which is a favourite.

Baked chicken on rice japanese style is really good its baked chicken with some mayo and japanese brown sauce. The japanese flakes on egg mixed with rice.

The combos are pretty worth it, you get a drink with it but cold is extra. It's still considered a lux hk restaurant but portions are very big.

    Debit or cash only.

Located at the McCowan Road and Raymerville Drive intersection, Phoenix Restaurant is an amazing HK-style café chain that serves up large and delicious plates quickly. It's probably my favourite HK café in the GTA!

Phoenix Restaurant has very consistent food quality, good service, and a clean, comfortable restaurant atmosphere across all their locations--at least from what I have experienced. So while their prices are average to high for HK-style cafés, you get the best bang for your buck. My two favourite dishes are their signature Hainanese Chicken with Chicken Oil Rice ($12.50 before tax) and Malaysian Curry Chicken Rice ($11.50 before tax). For these two plates, the rice is so fragrant, their boneless chicken is very tender, and their sauces are perfectly seasoned. I would recommend you try them if you haven't already! I also enjoy their signature Yunnan Vermicelli with Deep Fried Tofu Fish Cake in Fish Broth ($8.50 before tax), as well as their HK-style pancake and waffle desserts ($8-9.50 before tax), which have a lovely, toned-down sweetness that suits "Asian palates." Most of their meals, from breakfast to dinner, often include a hot drink that can be upgraded to a cold one for $1.25 (which is actually quite expensive just for a bit of ice, but it doesn't bother me too much because I don't really order cold drinks).

I've been to Phoenix Restaurant countless times, but since I love these dishes so much, I rarely ever decide to try something else. I hope to sometime soon, though, because I am already in need of some Asian comfort food!

My go to spot for good local Chinese cafe food. Great rates and combos offered throughout the day and awesome service. Must get dishes are the stir fried udon, and the numbing spicy fish fillet rice noodle soup.

Very busy throughout the day but especially around brunch and lunch times almost always a line. This is a eat and go place rather than a sit and talk place so if you just want to eat and enjoy the food this is the place for you.

Not too bad.   Japanese fried rice was burnt. Other in the group said theirs was not bad.

This is probably the place with the worst customer service i have ever had. Stood at the takeout counter unacknowledge by all the staff for a good 10 mins.
